The Scenic Tennessee Board of Directors visited Birdsong Resort & Marina

October 11, 2008

The Scenic Tennessee Board of Directors visited Birdsong Resort & Marina for a meeting and enjoyed a spectacular lunch with some beautiful warm weather.

Scenic Tennessee is the only organization in the state devoted exclusively to issues of scenic beauty. From billboard control to litter reduction to historic preservation to scenic highway designation, we work to keep Tennessee looking its best, not only for those of us who live here, but for the hundreds of thousands of visitors who help keep our economy vibrant.

Although we care deeply about the environment, we are more than just an environmental organization. Our membership ranges from architects to foresters to city planners to government regulators to farmers to teachers.

Like us, they believe that natural beauty and a strong economy go hand-in-hand; that Tennessee’s scenic resources are just as important as its cultural, industrial and human resources; and that in subtle and obvious ways, the scenic character of our state contributes to the pride, productivity and health of its citizens.
