LANE KEMPER, TY JOBE, SETH DAVIS, ROB KELLY 2007 Tennessee B.A.S.S. Federation National Junior State Tournament Hosted and Official Tournament Headquarters: Birdsong Resort and Marina on KY Lake in Camden (Benton County) West Tennessee July 21, 2007 This was a qualifying event for the 2008 B.A.S.S. Junior World Championship to be held on Keowee Lake in South Carolina in February 2008.
Results: In the younger division, ages 11 to 14, Lane Kemper of the Mid-south Junior Fishing League from the Memphis area was designated the winner. He and team member Ty Jobe tied with one bass each weighing 2 lbs. 4 oz. The usual tie breakers, most fish and biggest fish, were not enough to decide a winner since both anglers' catch were equal. A flip-of-the-coin by the boys' fathers decided Lane as the winner. In the older division, ages 15 to 18, Seth Davis of the Cleveland Junior Bass Club in Cleveland, TN, narrowly edged Rob Kelly of the Reelfoot Lake Junior Bass Club by a mere 2 oz. Young Davis had 5 bass weighing 8 lbs. 13 oz. to Kelly's 5 bass which weighed 8 lbs. 11 oz. Big Bass awards, $100.00 Gift Cards to Bass Pro Shops, went to Ty Jobe and Seth Davis. Two $50 gift cards from Bass Pro Shops also went to the top team of Rob Kelly and Lane Kemper. Their boat total was 6 bass weighing 10 lbs. 15 oz. The all new West Tennessee Team Traveling Trophy was presented to the Reelfoot Lake Junior Bass Club which had a total weight of 16 lbs. 4 oz. The Haywood County Bass Club was second with 10 lbs. 11 oz. and the Mid-south Junior Fishing League came in third with 5 lbs. 15 oz. Name Club Results: Older Division (15 to 18)
