a HeavyWeight Promotion West Tennessee Industrial & Commercial League Invitational Bass Tournament H&M Company Inc. Reels in 2006 Trophy The 22nd Annual West Tennessee Industrial & Commercial League Invitational Bass Tournament was held on Sunday, September 17th at Birdsong Resort, Marina and Lakeside RV & Tent Campground on the scenic Tennessee River's beautiful Kentucky Lake. One hundred and eighty two (182) fishermen from area companies were able to spend a fun-filled day on Kentucky Lake, catch a few fish, enjoy Benton County's vast shoreline and even make new friends. Seventeen (17) West Tennessee and Middle Tennessee companies were represented by ninety one (91) boats. The "ooze off" went very smooth during the early morning sunrise at the marina with flights leaving at 6:30 a.m. Weigh-in time began at 3:00 p.m. and went on through 4:00 p.m. One hundred and twenty four (124) fish were checked in, weighing a spectacular 304.77 lbs. Only four (4) fish were on the fatality list. A great job by all the bass enthusiasts in the catch-and-release program! H&M Company Inc, of Jackson, Tennessee, a new company to the tournament for 2006, placed first and received the coveted "Best of the Best" rotating trophy. This colossal four-tiered trophy tops five feet tall. 2005 reigning champion E.I Dupont – New Johnsonville relinquished the trophy to H&M Company - the new 2006 winners. All participating teams’ weights are considered when determining each company’s “trophy teams.” The top three teams’ weights are totaled to select the winning company. The three trophy teams for H&M Company were: Hunter Garrett / Marshall Russell; Chuck Jones / Corey Jones and Mark Marshall / Kyle Mann. Their combined weight totaled of 32.33 lbs. to win the trophy for the 22nd annual tournament. The huge rotating trophy will be displayed at H&M Company in Jackson for the next twelve months. Temple-Inland, New Johnsonville and Cumberland City, came in second place with 27.64 lbs, and E.I Dupont, New Johnsonville took the third seat weighing in 26.87 lbs. Winning the individual team competition was the team of Johnny Wilson and Buck Reed, Culleoka, TN, with a whopping 14.27 lbs. This Wilson Cycle team took home $736.00.
